Mannix is a popular option for students who want a transformative accommodation experience, and the number of applications we receive exceeds the available places. You are encouraged to apply for a College place as early as possible to give yourself the best chance of being offered a place.

You don’t have to wait until you have received an offer from Monash University to apply to Mannix, actually, the earlier you get your application in the better. This will give you plenty of time to organise your supporting documents and attend an interview.

Accomodation Options
Mannix offers different accommodation options and durations depending on your student type so please take a moment to check out the table below to see what you are eligible to enjoy with us. Details of how to apply for each accommodation option are provided on this page.
Application Process
The application process consists of four simple steps – prepare, apply, interview and outcome. Explore the application guide for more information.
Step 1: Prepare
For your application to be accepted, you will be required to provide the following supporting documentation:
- A profile photo (headshot for identification) in either JPEG or PNG.
- Your most recent school report [PDF]. If you are currently in Year 12, this can be your Year 11 report (if you are applying as a school student)
- Transcripts from any university study you have undertaken, if any [PDF] (if you are applying as a university student)
- A character reference [download template] [PDF]. Examples of acceptable referees are a School Principal, School Deputy / Vice Principal, School Careers Advisor, School Counsellor or School Teacher.
We suggest you arrange your reference and compile the required documents in advance to complete the application process quickly.
Step 2: Apply
Apply here, pay the non-refundable application fee of $50 and schedule your interview.
Step 3: Interview
This is your opportunity to get a feel for the College and to ask as many questions. Interviews can be held in person at the College or via Zoom.
Step 4: Outcome
You may receive a conditional offer or be placed on the waiting list. Offers may be deferred.

Eligibility
Mannix welcomes applications from students who intend to or are currently enrolled in a full-time, on-campus degree at Bachelor level or higher at Monash University. You can apply before you have received a study offer from the University but you will need to provide evidence of your enrolment at Monash University prior to moving in and signing a residency agreement.
Selection Criteria
Mannix has a merit-based selection process with applications assessed against the following criteria:
- Academic merit, and commitment and capability to succeed at university
- Personal character
- Leadership potential
- Community service
- Involvement in cultural, sporting, artistic and other co-curricular activities
